Bridge services for men and women with serious mental illnesses are based on a rehabilitation and recovery model that promotes independent living and self-sufficiency:
Diane Goldberg Continuing Day Treatment Program - Designed to help people with psychiatric conditions stabilize and achieve an optimal level of functioning in the community. Provides case management services, medication treatment, group therapy, support groups, MICA treatment, creative arts therapy and psychoeducational groups to assist people with symptom management. Vocational services offered on-site. Opened 365 days a year. Referrals call the intake coordinator at (212) 663-3000 ext. 377.
Residential Services - The Bridge operates more than 500 beds in a variety of settings, from 24-hour supervised residences to independent apartments in Manhattan, Queens, and the Bronx. Persons referred must have a diagnosed psychiatric condition and demonstrated need for support in the community. Referrals call the intake coordinator at (212) 663-3000 ext. 377.
Rehabilitation/Vocational Services - Vocational services include the following:
· Diagnostic Vocational Evaluations · Individual Vocational Counseling · Vocational Groups · Job Training · On Site Internships · Mental Health Peer Worker Training · Assisted Competitive Employment (ACE) · Job Placement · Post Employment Support Services
The Bridge is an approved VESID vendor for vocational services.
Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Treatment (IPRT) - Consumer drive/goal focused program, where consumers formulate and move towards specific goals in vocational, educational, residential, and social realms. Referrals call Pat Callahan, CRC at (212) 663-3000, extension 413.
Upper Level Caterers - A consumer catering business, which operates through our food service training program. We provide meals for ongoing needs and special events. In its successful 10-year history, Upper Level has catered events ranging from 10 to 3,000 people. For catering information call Sydell Bryant, food services director, (212) 663-3000, extension 302.
Primary Health Care - Health care services are offered to Bridge clients by a part-time primary health care clinic operated on-site by the William F. Ryan Community Health Center. The service provides comprehensive physicals, and follows clients who required medical care.
